First day of school for these kiddos! I can’t believe we have an 8th grader, 6th grader, 2nd grader, and a KINDERGARTENER (that one’s hitting especially hard). As we send our children off to school this morning, I’ve been reflecting on something I’ve heard so often: 'They' say we only get 18 summers with our kids. But I just can’t accept that idea.

We don’t simply parent for 18 years and then let go; we build connections that last a lifetime. Our homes become sanctuaries filled with unconditional love—places they can always return to, no matter how old they are or how far they roam. We’re there for the first day of kindergarten, the last day of high school, and every step in between. We cheer them on, comfort them, offer advice, and hold space for them as they grow.

These moments of letting go aren’t an end; they’re a continuation of a relationship that deepens with time. We don’t just get 18 summers; we create countless more, filled with love, memories, and moments that weave together a lifetime of connection. Arches National Park ✨✨✨ As I sit here, reflecting on the adventure we've been on, I’m struck by how fleeting these moments are, like grains of sand slipping through our fingers. It feels almost outrageous that we, with our brief lives, get to stand in these places that have been shaped by the hands of time over millions of years.

Here we are, a mere blip in the story of time, walking through landscapes carved by the patience of nature. The canyons, the mountains, the rivers—they've seen countless sunrises and sunsets, witnessed the rise and fall of empires, and yet they remain, slowly evolving while we hurry through our days.
